The live experience
What reaches the room
Founded in 2002 in Stuttgart by four cellists—Kira Kraftzoff, Kirill Timofeev, Mischa Degtjareff, and Sergio Drabkin—the Rastrelli Cello Quartet draws its name from the architect Bartolomeo Rastrelli. This German-based ensemble specializes in compelling four-cellos arrangements, spanning a wide repertoire from classical masters to jazz and tango. Led largely by Sergei Drabkin’s arrangements, they bring an intimate, virtuosic voice to pieces by Bach, Saint-Saëns, Tchaikovsky, Gershwin, Brubeck, Piazzolla, and tango, delivering performances that feel both polished and personal.
