Based in the Raleigh–Durham–Chapel Hill area, Really Terrible Orchestra of The Triangle (RTOOT) brings a unique blend of humor, audience interaction, and non-traditional instrumentation to the Triangle’s cultural scene. Founded in 2008 by W. Sands 'Sandy' Hobgood, with current conducting leadership from Dr. Robert B. Petters, RTOOT produces two lively seasons each year—Fall and Spring—featuring Sunday rehearsals at Cary's Herb Young Community Center. Their mission is to deliver engaging, accessible concerts that feel like a cultural gathering with friends, not a formal performance. If you’re looking for a memorable, family-friendly experience with a twist, you’ve got a guy who can help you secure seats to their next show at Cary Arts Center in Cary, NC.
