The live experience
What reaches the room
Red Cat Jazz Festival began as a community-driven initiative by Sam Pink and the Red Cat Jazz Preservation Society and evolved into a four-day celebration by 2014, traditionally held over Mother's Day weekend on Galveston Island at Moody Gardens and other venues around the island. The festival merged education, performance, and community outreach, offering scholarships and youth programs to nurture the next generation of jazz artists. While the festival’s public footprint has paused in recent years, the Red Cat Jazz legacy continues through ongoing jazz programming and venues in the region.
