The sound
The musical character
Red Molly is a quintessential American folk-bluegrass contingent known for their lush three-part harmonies, deft guitar and dobro textures, and a catalog that moves between intimate acoustic sets and more expansive electric-tinged arrangements. Formed in 2004 at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival by Laurie MacAllister, Abbie Gardner, and Carolann Solebello, the group welcomed Molly Venter in 2010 to complete the current trio. Over the years, Red Molly has become a fixture on Americana and folk radio, earning chart attention and a dedicated fanbase for their warm, narrative-driven songs.
