The Refugee Orchestra Project (ROP) brings together refugee musicians and composers to spotlight refugee contributions to music and culture. Founded in 2016 by conductor Lidiya Yankovskaya, the ensemble has grown into an international voice for inclusion, collaboration, and cross-cultural storytelling through contemporary and classical repertoire. Led by Milad Yousufi as Artist-in-Residence, ROP centers Afghan musical influences and presents world premiere works that resonate with audiences around the world.
