Rendez-Vous is a Paris-born post-punk ensemble that began in 2012 when Francis Mallari and Elliot Berthault joined forces with fellow musicians Maxime Gendre, Simon Dubourg, and Guillaume Rottier. The group quickly established a distinctive sound that blends sharp guitar work, propulsive bass, and atmospheric synths. Over the years, Rendez-Vous has grown into a recognized name across Europe, celebrated for their precise live performances and records released through Artefact in partnership with CryBaby and AVANT!.

From their self-titled EP in 2014 to the larger releases Superior State (2018) and Downcast (2024), Rendez-Vous has earned critical praise and a dedicated fanbase. Their 2016 Distance EP helped propel them into broader recognition, with the title track earning placement on The Inrocks’ playlist and continued praise from post-punk peers and press. The band’s momentum culminated in a sold-out La Cigale show in Paris on January 29, 2020, and an extensive European tour through the 2010s. As of 2026, Rendez-Vous continues to perform across Europe with new material anticipated when dates are announced, including a 2026 appearance at La Rotonde Stalingrad in Paris.
