Richard Nader was a pivotal figure in the history of rock and roll, best known for launching the Rock and Roll Revival movement that brought classic hits back to the stage and radio. Starting with a landmark October 18, 1969 show at Madison Square Garden's Felt Forum, featuring a lineup that included Chuck Berry, The Platters, Bill Haley & His Comets, The Shirelles, The Coasters, Jimmy Clanton, and Sha Na Na, Nader helped establish a nationwide nostalgia circuit. He produced countless revival concerts, built a platform for older acts to reach new audiences, and influenced the format of oldies radio for decades.
