People behind the production
Rob Fisher is a distinguished conductor, arranger, and music director whose career spans Broadway, classical concert stages, and national radio. As founding music director and conductor of NYC Center Encores! from 1994 to 2005, Fisher helped shape the program's signature approach to reviving American musical theater with orchestral clarity and modern sensibility. He also led the Coffee Club Orchestra—the house band for Garrison Keillor’s American Radio Company—from 1989 to 1993, bringing a distinctive blend of jazz, light classical, and theatrical flair to radio audiences. Fisher’s Broadway credentials include serving as conductor/music supervisor or arranger for acclaimed cast recordings such as Broadway with Renée Fleming, Lady, Be Good!, An American in Paris, Anything Goes, Rappahannock County, Shout, Sister, Shout, and On Broadway. He continues to influence audiences through performances, recordings, and educational outreach.
