Rocket From The Tombs emerged from Cleveland, Ohio in 1974, featuring early members such as David Thomas, Peter Laughner, Cheetah Chrome, and Craig Bell. Known for a raw, aggressive edge and a garage-rock bite, they’re widely regarded as foundational figures in the Cleveland punk scene. Although they didn’t release a studio album in the 1970s, the 2002 compilation The Day the Earth Met the Rocket from the Tombs became a pivotal archival release that introduced new generations to their influential sound.
