Since moving into the New York scene in 2009, he has built a reputation as a versatile drummer and composer who blends traditional jazz with Latin folk influences and contemporary improvisation. His work reflects a deep Chilean-rooted musical sensibility while embracing the energy of New York’s vibrant jazz community.

His 2018 Martín Codax Musica Award-winning project Desde la Lluvia marked an important milestone, highlighting his ability to fuse Chilean musical heritage with modern jazz language through collaborations with Chilean-NYC artists.

His European engagements include a Café Central date in Madrid on August 2, 2025, as part of the Recabarren Menares Vazquez European tour run.
