Roller Derby of Central Kentucky (RDKY) is a longtime Lexington staple in the world of flat-track roller derby. Founded in 2006 as a women’s league, RDKY has grown into a community-focused, skater-owned nonprofit that brings high-energy bouts, athletic competition, and charitable partnerships to fans across Kentucky. The league operates as a member of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA), after entering the Apprentice Program in 2012 and achieving full membership in 2013. With two senior teams—ROCK Stars (All-Stars) and Indie ROCKers—and a historic junior program that included Pebbles, RDKY remains dedicated to growth, inclusion, and community service. Home bouts are hosted at Central Bank Center in Lexington, a venue with a long-standing association to the Lexington Convention Center and the region’s live events calendar.
