Performer background and touring highlights
Roppongi Male Chorus ZIG-ZAG has performed across the globe, laying down a path from Vienna, Graz and Berlin (2003) to Havana (2005), Honolulu (2006), Monte Carlo (2007), Sao Paulo (2008), Paris and Bordeaux (2009), Milan and the Vatican (2010), Geneva (2011), and St. Petersburg (2015). A landmark Carnegie Hall appearance in June 2018 was followed by a Suntory Hall concert in Tokyo, underscoring their position as an internationally oriented ensemble with deep Japanese roots.
The repertoire spans The Last Message cantata, Requiems, operatic choruses, Japanese songs, and other cross-genre works. The group regularly performs at Suntory Hall with local and international orchestras, maintaining a busy schedule of subscriptions and collaborations. Their 25th Anniversary concert is set for April 14, 2025, at Suntory Hall, Tokyo, along with a 3.11 Charity Concert on March 11, 2025, also at Suntory Hall.
