Rose and The Rime Tickets

Rose and The Rime is a distinctive performer collective rooted in theater and storytelling, formed by Nathan Allen, Chris Mathews, and Jake Minton during their time at Hope College in 2006–2007. Their work blends theatricality with musicality, creating immersive experiences that resonate with audiences across venues. While their projects have leaned into theatrical productions, the ensemble’s influence and artistry extend into intimate, music-oriented performances that showcase the group’s storytelling prowess.

Originally gaining recognition through the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival, Rose and The Rime was selected in 2008 and performed at the Kennedy Center Terrace Theater on April 17, 2008, marking a notable milestone in the company’s early trajectory. The group later presented a professional Chicago premiere at Chopin Theatre in Chicago from February through April 2009, with the run extended through May 9, 2009, demonstrating strong regional appeal and audience enthusiasm.

Revivals followed, including a Chopin Theatre return run from January 18 to March 23, 2014, and performances at Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami from April 23 to May 18, 2014. While 2025 does not show evidence of a new standalone music release or a dedicated tour, the ensemble remains active in theatrical production, offering compelling live experiences online and on stage for fans and new audiences alike.
