People behind the production
Salesman In China is a compelling bilingual stage play that reimagines Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman through a Mandarin-English lens. Written by Leanna Brodie and Jovanni Sy, the production premiered at the Stratford Festival in August 2024 and was revived at the National Arts Centre (Ottawa) in January 2025. This unique collaboration blends language and culture to bring a fresh perspective to Miller's classic American drama, exploring identity, family, and the immigrant experience.
