Sascha Goetzel is a versatile European conductor and violinist whose career blends orchestral leadership with celebrated violin performance. Born in Vienna and trained at Graz, Juilliard, and with renowned maestros, Goetzel’s artistry has taken him from the concert stage to prestigious fellowships such as Tanglewood. He serves as Music Director of the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire (ONPL) since 2022 and, starting in March 2025, as Music Director of the Ulsan Philharmonic. In the 2024/25 season, he appears as Principal Guest Conductor with the Kraków Philharmonic and Timisoara Philharmonic, continuing a trajectory that includes artistic director roles with ensembles such as the Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra.
