Since its founding in 1982, the Seattle Chamber Music Festival (SCMS) has become a cornerstone of Seattle's classical music landscape. Guided by renowned violinist and artistic director James Ehnes, SCMS brings intimate, high-caliber chamber performances to audiences across the city. The festival programs include the Winter and Summer Festivals, Concerts at the Center, Crescendo Concerts, and the Academy for Chamber Music for Youth and Adults. In addition to traditional concert series, SCMS operates The Concert Truck, a mobile concert hall that brings free performances to neighborhoods, parks, and public spaces, broadening access to classical music.
