Silvia Tarozzi stands at the intersection of traditional Italian violin sensibilities and contemporary experimental exploration. A longtime violinist with Ensemble Dedalus since 2006 and a frequent collaborator with pioneering composers, Tarozzi creates intimate, improvised textures that weave North Italian folk influences into expansive, textural soundscapes. Her work with cellist Deborah Walker as a long-running duo showcases a shared commitment to sonic exploration, while her ongoing collaborations with Éliane Radigue, Pascale Criton, and Cassandra Miller place her at the heart of the international new music scene.
