Slow Mass, a Chicago-born trio blending post-hardcore, indie rock, and expansive post-rock textures, has carved a distinct path through the indie/post-hardcore landscape. From early attention as a Stereogum Band To Watch in 2016 to coverage from Pitchfork on their album On Watch, Slow Mass has built a reputation for emotionally charged songs and dynamic live performances. After a provocative period with Dangerbird Records in 2021, the band continued to release new material and press ahead with a dedicated touring presence. Their 2024 Drift Themes EP paved the way for the 2025 full-length Low on Foot, including standout singles Hogtied, Blur, and Freeze Frame. Here you’ll find a concise bio, discography highlights, and the latest about the 2025 U.S. tour across multiple cities.
