Founded in 1994 and proudly serving Richmond Hill for over 25 years, Somerville Dance Academy (SDA) is a cornerstone of the local dance community. Our 3-studio facility at 141 King Rd, Unit 9 features sprung hardwood floors and on-site watching for parents, ensuring a comfortable, professional environment for students of all ages and skill levels. From beginners to advanced dancers, SDA offers a comprehensive lineup of genres—Acro, Ballet & Pointe, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Tap, and Tumbling—designed to grow technique, artistry, and confidence.

We’re more than a studio. SDA is a family of dancers, teachers, and families who come together for community impact, including our annual SickKids Foundation charity recital. This event highlights our commitment to giving back while showcasing student progress and performance flair.
