Featuring a lineup that includes Len Kasper on bass, Dag Juhlin and Liam Davis on guitars and synths, Gerald Dowd on drums, and frontman Matt Spiegel, Sonic45 has carved out a distinctive sound that resonates with fans of moody, melodic riffs and driving rhythms.

The band’s journey began with a rapid ascent in the indie scene, earning recognition from WXRT as a Big Beat Chicago Artist of the Week on two occasions. Their debut album Space And Time arrived on Pravda Records on June 4, 2021, followed by the sophomore LP SuperSonic released on July 12, 2024, also via Pravda Records. Sonic45’s singles Pills (2020) and I Feel Alive (2020) showcased their ability to fuse catchy vocal melodies with incisive guitar work and synth textures.
