Soul Food Poetry Café (SFPC) is Nashville’s longtime home for a powerful blend of spoken-word poetry and live music. Founded 19 years ago by award-winning poet Imani Rhema (also cited as Imani Rehema in reporting), SFPC has become a cornerstone of the city’s artistic landscape, known for intimate performances, uplifting storytelling, and a signature house-band dynamic. The project has grown into a community hub where poets, singers, and musicians collaborate to create soulful, connection-driven shows that captivate diverse audiences.
