Sound In Motion is a dynamic three-act, live‑music collaboration that fuses Texture Contemporary Ballet’s expressive contemporary movement with original music by Pittsburgh musician D.o.B. Based in Pittsburgh, Texture Contemporary Ballet has become the city’s largest nonprofit contemporary ballet company since its founding in 2011 by Artistic Director Alan Obuzor. The Sound In Motion project showcases the company’s innovative approach to storytelling through live scores, bold choreography, and a powerful sense of ensemble texture.

Upcoming 2025 performances include three evenings of Sound In Motion at the New Hazlett Theater in Pittsburgh, PA (March 14–16, 2025).
