South Bend Lions FC is a developing South Bend-based soccer club making waves in regional and national leagues. Founded on November 18, 2019, the organization began its journey in USL League Two for the 2020 season, a campaign that was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The club rebounded to capture the 2022 USL League Two Valley Division title, signaling a rising trajectory in American soccer. Rebranded as Michiana Lions FC, the team expanded into the USL W League (women) in 2024 and continues to compete in 2024–2025, with ongoing activity and regional friendlies. Home matches are hosted at Leighton Stadium in South Bend, Indiana, a venue that seats about 3,500 and provides an intimate setting for fans to watch developing talent. Under owner Ritchie Jeune and Technical Director/Head Coach Shek Borkowski, South Bend Lions FC blends community support with competitive ambition, building a loyal following across the Michiana region.
