Southern Crescent Symphony is a 55‑member ensemble rooted in the Southern Crescent region of Metro Atlanta. Founded circa 1991 by conductor and founder Dr. Richard Bell, the orchestra brings together professional musicians, educators, and dedicated volunteers to deliver intimate, engaging classical and pops performances. The group rehearses and performs at Spivey Hall on the campus of Clayton State University and at the First Baptist Church of Morrow, serving audiences across the Atlanta metro area. The 2025–2026 season features a mix of canonical masterpieces and seasonal favorites, with a noted 35th Anniversary Gala Concert in 2025 underscoring the ensemble’s enduring community presence.
