Spencer Zweifel is a Northern Colorado pianist and composer known for forging bold connections between jazz, rock, and expressive post-rock textures. A University of Northern Colorado alum (2019) and recipient of a Master’s in Jazz Studies from William Paterson University (2021), Zweifel brings a refined academic background together with a fearless, exploratory approach to composition and performance. His project The Life or Death Situation has earned critical comparisons to legendary improvisers like Dave Holland, Chick Corea, and Charles Mingus, while carving out a distinct voice that resonates with contemporary audiences.
