Founded by Ilan Blanck (guitar), Isabel Dammann (violin), and Krissy Bergmark (tabla), Sprig of That expanded to include cellist Olivia Diercks as a special guest on the bloom project. Their 2021 release Eight Threads features commissioned pieces from eight Twin Cities-based composers, underscoring their collaborative ethos. The 2023 debut album bloom, produced by Wes Corbett and engineered by Dave Sinko, was funded in part by a successful Kickstarter campaign that raised funds from backers. Notable live moments include a double-release show at The Parkway Theater in Minneapolis (2023) with The OK Factor and a performance at The Bur Oak in Madison, WI.
