SsingSsing burst onto the global stage with a fearless blend of authentic Korean traditional vocals (minyo) fused with rock, glam, disco, and psychedelic textures. Known for their extravagant, cross-dressed stage presence rooted in shamanic traditions, the act captured major attention after standout performances at NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert in 2017 and GlobalFest at Webster Hall in the same year. While the group disbanded in October 2018, the mark they left on experimental Korean-inspired performance remains influential for fans and explorers of genre-defying music.
