The St. Louis Philharmonic Orchestra is one of America’s oldest continuous symphonic organizations, tracing its roots to 1860 as the Philharmonic Society of St. Louis. Today, this all‑volunteer, nonprofit ensemble brings a robust mix of classical masterworks, Latin American repertoire, contemporary pieces, and pops programs to stages around St. Louis. Under artistic director Darwin Aquino (in his fifth season), the orchestra blends tradition with fresh programming, featuring approximately 90 dedicated volunteers.
