Born from Fukushima's rebellious streets, Stalin is a cornerstone of Japanese punk and hardcore. Formed in 1980 by Michiro Endo, the band burst onto the scene with bold, confrontational energy that defined a generation. Their major-label debut, Stop Jap (1982), soared to the top of the Oricon Albums Chart, while early releases like Trash (1981) remain landmark records in punk history. After Endo's passing in 2019, Stalin continued to evolve through various incarnations, including Video Stalin and Stalin, preserving the fierce spirit in archival releases and live performances.
