Stephen Richard Hackett, born February 12, 1950 in London, England, is one of progressive rock’s most influential guitarists. Best known as the lead guitarist of Genesis from 1968 to 1977, he helped shape the band’s early sound and later achievements that led to his Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction as a Genesis member in 2010. As a solo artist, Stephen has released 24 studio albums between 1975 and 2024, with The Circus and the Nightwhale (2024) marking his latest projects.
