Stone Coyotes, formed in 1998 in Western Massachusetts, is built on the enduring partnership of Barbara Keith (guitar/vocals) and John Tibbles. Over the years, the group has evolved through multiple lineups, with Doug Tibbles and Doug Tibbles Jr. among early contributors. The band’s work gained broader recognition when novelist Elmore Leonard featured their music and reportedly dedicated Be Cool to the band, and even toured with them, cementing Stone Coyotes as a respected name in roots rock and Americana. Their songs have found homes in film and television, and they’ve carved out a distinctive sound through their own Red Cat Records label.
