Sub-ID is an innovative electronic artist project born in Nashville, Tennessee in 2005. Founded by Brad Bowden and Alana Rocklin, Sub-ID was among the first acts signed to STS9’s 1320 Records and released the debut album BFF in 2007. The project blends emotive melodies with layered rhythms, often exploring themes of connection and introspection. Early work included a remix of Better Day for STS9’s Artifact: Perspectives (2005), a release that helped bring Sub-ID onto the 1320 Records roster. Over the years, Alana Rocklin joined STS9 as a full member (from 2014 onward) while continuing other collaborations and session work. Sub-ID has contributed to 1320 compilation releases like The 1320 Mixtape and maintained a presence on Bandcamp and SoundCloud with a steady stream of tracks.
