Sum 41, formed in 1996 in Ajax, Ontario, is a landmark in pop-punk and skate-punk with a metal-tinged edge. Over eight studio albums, they evolved from high-energy anthems to deeper, heavier sounds, maintaining a fearless, arena-ready live presence. Their final studio effort, Heaven:x: Hell, was released on March 29, 2024, as a double album blending the upbeat pop-punk of Heaven with the heavier metal tones of Hell. The band announced a farewell world tour that extended into 2024 and into 2025, including a Toronto show at Scotiabank Arena on January 30, 2025. Sum 41 was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame at the 2025 JUNO Awards in Vancouver, with a special encore in Rogers Arena on March 30, 2025.
