Originally launching in Darrington, Washington, Summer Meltdown relocated to Monroe, Washington in 2022, with the 2022 edition hosted at Sky Meadows Park in Snohomish County. After a canceled 2020 run due to COVID-19 and a 2023 edition that did not continue in Monroe, the group has pursued new collaborations. In 2024, Summer Meltdown joined forces with Cascade Equinox Festival to present Melty Migration in Redmond, Oregon, a Fall-equinox style event.
