Formed in 2017 in Dallas, Sunsleep is the project led by Devin Barrus since 2024. The band burst onto the scene with the debut single Fever, which amassed around 1.3 million streams, establishing Sunsleep as a rising force in the alternative/indie scene. In 2022, Sunsleep signed with SBG Records, leading to the 2023 release Moonlight Euphoria, the artist’s debut full-length that showcased their moody, anthemic sound. The project has since evolved under Revel Recording for the 2025 album Terrible Things, with 2025 EPs Buzzkill, Hellfire, and Mascara, plus the Terrible Things album itself, marking a prolific new chapter.
