Symphony Goes West is a concert concept rather than a single touring act. Presented by various orchestras and ensembles, it brings together Western and film-score favorites in immersive, narrative-driven performances. This format showcases orchestral interpretations of iconic music from classic Westerns such as The Good, the Bad and the Ugly; Once Upon a Time in the West; Dances with Wolves; The Magnificent Seven; Cowboys; and Aaron Copland’s Hoe-Down. Because Symphony Goes West is produced by multiple organizations, each performance may feature a different ensemble lineup while maintaining the same adventurous Western theme.
