Biography
The Taylor Academy is The Phil and Eli Taylor Performance Academy for Young Artists at The Royal Conservatory, dedicated to advanced training for gifted young classical musicians. Under the direction of Barry Shiffman, the academy has cultivated a lineage of distinguished alumni, including pianist Stewart Goodyear, violinist Yi-Jia Susanne Hou, and pianist Jan Lisiecki. The program emphasizes rigorous study, chamber music, and performance opportunities that prepare students for professional careers while still in training.

Upcoming Tour Information
2025 marks an active year for Taylor Academy Showcase Concerts in Toronto. The next showcase is scheduled for March 8, 2025 at the Mazzoleni Concert Hall, Toronto. Free tickets are released through The Royal Conservatory. In addition, the Taylor Academy Playathon is planned for May 17, 2025 on The Royal Conservatory Courtyard to raise funds for student training and program expansion.
