Formed in Stockholm in 1991 as Skull and later known as Teddybears STHLM, this Swedish act has carved a unique niche by fusing hardcore punk energy with hip-hop, pop melodies, and electronic textures. Over the years, Teddybears have drawn fans with a genre-blending sound that spans rock, electronica, and alternative influences. Their rise in the Swedish charts peaked with the album Rock 'n' Roll Highschool, which topped the Swedish album chart in 2000. The band has earned critical recognition, including Grammis nominations and wins in 2001 for Album of the Year and Pop/Rock Group of the Year. In 2010, they explored new collaborations and projects, including work connected to Don Carlos theater music, and released Rock On! in 2016. More recently, they performed at events like Åre Sessions 2025 and headlined major venues, continuing to engage audiences with their dynamic live shows.
