Terry Galloway is a deaf, queer writer and performer whose work blends storytelling, performance art, and comedy to illuminate resilience, identity, and community. A co-founder of the Mickee Faust Club in Tallahassee, she helped spark an inclusive, avant-garde cabaret scene that continues to influence independent theatre and performance art across the Southeast. Her solo works, including You Are My Sunshine and Lost My Shoes, explore deafness and personal evolution with humor, candor, and heart. Galloway’s memoir Mean Little Deaf Queer (Beacon Press) was a Lambda Literary Award finalist in 2010, recognized for its intimate, candid voice and cultural impact.
