The Choreographers' Ball is a pioneering live dance experience founded in 1998 by Carey Ysais and Paulette Azizian. Widely described as the longest-running dance show in Southern California, this multifaceted showcase centers on choreographers and dancers performing contemporary pieces to pre-recorded music—no lead vocalist or live band. The show operates a multicity model with US and international satellites, including Hollywood, Chicago, New York, Sydney, London, Tokyo, with a Belgian edition under the brand. Fans know the event for its intimate, high-energy performances that showcase a wide range of styles, from contemporary to experimental dance.
