Formed in 1977 in the San Fernando Valley, The Dickies are among Los Angeles' earliest punk bands and one of the era's longest-running acts. They helped shape pop-punk with blazing speed and sharp humor, delivering memorable covers like Paranoid, Nights in White Satin, and Banana Splits while maintaining a distinct, high-energy punk voice. A&M Records helped propel their rise, expanding their reach beyond LA and into the UK scene. Their latest studio effort, All This and Puppet Stew, arrived in 2001 on Fat Wreck Chords, and their influence continues to resonate with new generations of fans.
