Meet The Duncan Hopkins Quartet, a standout force in modern jazz shaped by a strong British-Canadian collaboration. Led by bassist/composer Duncan Hopkins, who has collaborated with luminaries like Diana Krall, Rob McConnell, and Kenny Wheeler, this quartet blends original Hopkins compositions with pay-tribute material—most notably honoring Kenny Wheeler. Hopkins’ work has earned critical acclaim across Canadian jazz scenes, including a Prix de Jazz du Maurier win in 1999 and a JUNO nomination in 2002 for the project Secret. The ensemble stays active with dynamic tours and recordings that resonate in clubs and festivals from Toronto to beyond.
