Since forming in 1987 in Southend-on-Sea, England, The Hamsters have been celebrated as Britain’s leading blues-rock/pub-rock act. Renowned for high-energy performances, Hendrix- and ZZ Top-inspired sets, and inventive stage antics like instrument swaps, they left an indelible mark on the UK live music scene. The band’s final chapter closed with the Farewell Tour, culminating in their last gig on April 1, 2012 at The Half Moon in Putney.
