The Hugs are a Portland-born indie pop project formed in 2007 by Danny Delegato. Described by the band as psychedelic indie-pop, their sound blends elements of indie pop, garage rock, electronic textures, and neo-psychedelia. Over the years, they've earned praise from critics and artists alike, including NME, Carl Barât of The Libertines, and director Gus Van Sant. Their music has reached wider audiences through features on HBO's Girls and various TV programs, and they’ve shared stages with established acts like The Kooks and The Walkmen.
