The Imaginary Invalid is a stage performer weaving classical theatre with contemporary storytelling. Known for vibrant interpretation and deep engagement with the audience, this artist brings a textured presence to Molière in the Park’s 2025 Brooklyn season. In the classic work Le Malade imaginaire (The Imaginary Invalid), first performed in Paris in 1673 as a comédie-ballet with music by Marc-Antoine Charpentier, the performer helps illuminate the enduring humor and humanity of Molière’s masterpiece. The 2025 production in Prospect Park features a new translation by Lucie Tiberghien, live original music by Johnathan Moore, and choreography by Cal Hunt, under the direction of Molière in the Park. The show stars Tony and Olivier Award nominee Sahr Ngaujah, with a free public run May 8–25 at LeFrak Center at Lakeside, Prospect Park (opening May 12).
