The Jazz Arts Group (JAG) is America’s oldest nonprofit devoted to producing, performing, and promoting jazz. Founded in 1973 in Columbus, Ohio, JAG has a long-standing tradition of bringing world-class jazz to central Ohio and beyond. Through the Columbus Jazz Orchestra (CJO), its resident big band led by renowned trumpeter Byron Stripling, JAG delivers annual performances at CAPA venues such as the Southern Theatre and hosts engaging music education programs that empower youth and adults to explore jazz through performance, composition, and improvisation.
