About The Rascals
The Rascals formed in 1965 in Garfield, New Jersey, originally billed as The Young Rascals before adopting The Rascals. They delivered top 20 hits across the Billboard Hot 100, including three No. 1s: Good Lovin' (1966), Groovin' (1967), and People Got to Be Free (1968). The band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 and honored by the Hit Parade Hall of Fame in 2010. Their multimedia Broadway tribute, The Rascals: Once Upon A Dream, opened in 2013 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, blending live performances with archival footage and storytelling, under the direction and production of Steven Van Zandt.
