The Waifs have been a fixture of Australia’s folk-rock scene since forming in 1992 in Albany, Western Australia. Fronted by sisters Donna Simpson and Vikki Thorn with Josh Cunningham, their close vocal harmonies and intimate acoustic arrangements have earned them fans worldwide. A cornerstone of the Australian independent music movement, they co-founded Jarrah Records in 2002 with John Butler, supporting independent releases across the country. Their discography spans eight studio albums, including the chart-topping Ironbark (2017), and multiple ARIA recognitions that cement their lasting impact on the scene.
