Theatre for Youth (TFY) is East West Players’ touring theatre education program dedicated to exploring Asian Pacific American history and social issues through engaging performances. TFY brings dynamic, accessible theatre to communities across the U.S., pairing compelling storytelling with education and outreach. Upcoming TFY performances continue to travel as part of the 2025–2026 season with the centerpiece production Tam Tran Goes to Washington (Elizabeth Wong). This show explores undocumented youth activism and the real-world experiences shaping policy and community organizing. The premiere Benefit for Tam Tran Goes to Washington occurred on August 24, 2025 at the David Henry Hwang Theater in Los Angeles, with additional regional premieres including the Orange County premiere on October 4, 2025 at Mix Academy at Newsong Church in Santa Ana. The national tour includes stops such as Sierra Madre Playhouse on February 21, 2026, and additional engagements in Los Angeles (Hollywood American Legion Post 43) and Canoga Park libraries on February 20–21, 2026.
