Triangle Youth Music (TYM) presents the Triangle Youth Music String Orchestra (TYSO), a welcoming non-auditioned ensemble for grades 4–6. TYSO partners with Triangle Youth Music to provide an accessible, skill-building orchestra experience that feeds into TYSS and the broader Triangle Youth Philharmonic/Symphony/Orchestra ecosystem. Rehearsals are held Tuesday evenings, with TYSO meeting 6:30–8:00 PM at the Cary Arts Center, giving young musicians a structured, encouraging environment to grow.

TYSS, for grades 7–12, also rehearses Tuesday evenings (6:30–8:00 PM) at Reedy Creek Middle School, offering a progression pathway within the same family of programs. Both ensembles are non-auditioned to ensure every student has the chance to participate in high-quality orchestral training.
